4/7/2005 - Testing the system for performance
The entire last week was spent on testing the system for performance. The RSSI value was fluctuating by a huge margin causing problems in positioning the tag. Different kinds of filters were tried to make the RSSI value stable, but neither of those effort was successful. The main reason for this sudden change is the multi path and fading effects. Since this system is based on indoors this issue is going to be a main defect of the system. We looked into possibility of adding an extra peak detector IC to stabilize and average the signal. Work is under progress to make the system immune to the multi path effect.
