3/2/2005 - Building the prototype
This week’s tasks were the continuation of the previous week’s tasks. Some of the tasks that were started last week got completed this week. The initial GUI development had been done and the prototype was tested for serial port communication with the PC and is working perfectly. The next level development includes the task of making the prototype transmit data every given time interval and make the tag receive it.
Omar Elsahy:
• Helped building the prototype
• Assigned respective completion dates for task submission, approved it from team members
• Conducted further extensive research of required equipment and began draft documentation
Fernando Souto:
• Built the prototype
• Altered the schematics
• Looked into validation review
• Researched on new modifications
Aldwin Saugere:
• Worked on serial port communication between the PC and the Access Points
• Implemented WRNS computation engine
• Modified the Graphical User Interface
• Modified the database
Ajit Gaddam:
• Working on PIC Program implementation for prototype
• Software testing of the code generated and its implementation
• Software to interface hyper terminal for serial communication
Anand Mehta:
• Studied 2-wire RS232 protocol interface through C::COM and PIC programming
• Established necessary pin connections, signal levels and restrictions on RF transceiver module.
• Composed PIC function to randomly generate values between 0 and 255.
• Obtained PICbasic pro compiler and CodeDesign lite (editor).
Milinda Wathugala:
• Built the prototype
• Looked at old schematics to use in Pspice
Thanujan Ratnarajah:
• Built the prototype
• Worked on new modifications
• Looked into the parts specification that needs to be altered.
• Researched on the possible power sources.
