11/3/2004 - PDR presentation

  
This entire week was spent on preparing ourselves for the PDR presentation. After everyone finished their individual parts in the PDR we met at Omar’s place to make the presentation slides and proof read. Everyone made their final choice for the development kit reasoning out why they needed that specific development kit. The team was once again given a good explanation on what their main duties were for the next 4 weeks.




Omar Elsahy:


• Completed designated sections of Preliminary Design Review
• Compiled and finalized Preliminary Design Review documentation
• Designed, compiled and finalized Preliminary Design Review presentation
• Assisted in design of rendered animation of PDR presentation
• Assisted in design layout and options of project website
• Researched on materials required for various tag designs


Fernando Souto:

• Researched on Bluetooth Access points
• Worked on the PDR presentation
• Worked on the design review for the PDR
• Researched on different DSP chips
• Concentrated on micro controller selection

Ajit Gaddam:

• Working on block diagram for PDR
• Working on Design Review for PDR
• Research on finding a cheaper Bluetooth SDK
• Analyzed the open java source for wireless protocol


Anand Mehta:

• Explored possible options available for RSSI measurement.
• Tried to find documents/guides on MOD-ing developed boards, as the RSSI module/chip will have to be soldered/connected on top of the Bluetooth


Milinda Wathugala:


• Worked on the PDR presentation
• Looked at Tag desgin and possible microprocessors for the design and
• Looked at how they work for our case
• Tried the demo SDk that i had found

Thanujan Ratnarajah:

• Finished the PDR
• Helped Omar compile the PDR
• Researched on the design of the tag
• Contacted some of the Bluetooth agents in Orlando


Aldwin Saugere
• Created a 3D animation for the PDR presentation
• Worked on the Web page
• Worked on a 3D model on the project
